 The Universal Declaration of Palestine

Preamble: Recognizing the inherent dignity and equal rights of the Palestinian people as a foundation for freedom, justice, and peace, and acknowledging the unique historical, cultural, and social contexts of the Palestinian experience. Emphasizing the urgent need for international recognition and protection of the rights of Palestinians in the pursuit of self-determination, national sovereignty, and peaceful coexistence.

Article 1: Right to Self-Determination The Palestinian people have the inalienable right to self-determination, including the right to freely determine their political status, pursue their economic, social, and cultural development, and establish a sovereign and independent state.

Article 2: Right to Equality and Non-Discrimination All Palestinians are entitled to equal protection under the law without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, political opinion, or other status. Discrimination in any form shall not be tolerated.

Article 3: Right to Return Every Palestinian displaced from their homeland has the right to return to their homes and properties, as recognized by international law, and to receive restitution and compensation for their losses.

Article 4: Right to Nationality and Identity Every Palestinian has the right to nationality, to maintain and express their Palestinian identity, and to enjoy cultural, religious, and linguistic heritage.

Article 5: Right to Freedom of Movement Palestinians have the right to move freely within their territory and across borders, without restrictions imposed by external forces or discriminatory practices.

Article 6: Right to Security and Protection Palestinians have the right to live in peace and security, free from military occupation, violence, and oppression. Measures must be taken to ensure the safety and protection of all Palestinian citizens.

Article 7: Right to Political Participation Every Palestinian has the right to participate in their government through free and fair elections, and to have a voice in the political decisions that affect their lives.

Article 8: Right to Access Natural Resources The Palestinian people have the right to access and use their natural resources, including land, water, and minerals, without external interference. These resources should be managed in a manner that benefits the Palestinian people and supports sustainable development.

Article 9: Right to Education and Health Every Palestinian has the right to access quality education and healthcare services. Efforts should be made to ensure that all Palestinians, regardless of their location, receive essential health and educational support.

Article 10: Right to Cultural and Religious Freedom Palestinians have the right to freely practice their religion, express their culture, and participate in cultural activities without fear of discrimination or repression.

Article 11: Right to Economic Development Palestinians have the right to pursue economic opportunities, develop their industries, and trade freely with other nations. Efforts should be made to remove economic blockades and barriers that hinder economic growth and self-sufficiency.

Article 12: Right to Peaceful Protest and Assembly Palestinians have the right to assemble peacefully, protest injustices, and express their views without fear of violence or persecution.

Article 13: Responsibility to Uphold Human Rights All Palestinian leaders, institutions, and communities have the duty to respect and uphold human rights standards, promote tolerance and dialogue, and work towards a peaceful and just society.

Article 14: International Support and Cooperation The international community is urged to support the Palestinian struggle for rights, provide humanitarian assistance, and facilitate a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian question in accordance with international law.
